Oxfordshire Pub Launches New Beer Garden And Dining Space



The launch of The Killingworth Castle’s new garden and dining room took place in Wootton, near Woodstock, Oxfordshire,  on Saturday 29th June and was a was a great success. The pub saw over 100 people from the village, as well as a few members of the local press, join them for a sunny afternoon in the newly landscaped beer garden.



The Killingworth Castle offered a free summer cocktail for everyone and a great value BBQ; Serving homemade burgers and pork baps in homemade rolls, and charging only enough to cover costs.

The sunny weather meant that guests enjoyed the garden all afternoon and tours were offered of the new dining room, a space never used by the public in previous history of the pub.

Over 80 people stayed to have dinner at The Killingworth Castle that night, making the most of the new dining room, which boasts views over the brand new patio and garden. Guests enjoyed starters such as Twice Baked Soufflé of Home-Smoked Haddock and Mature Cheddar with Crab Bisque and Sticky Pork Belly With Summer Greens, Cider Apple & Soft Poached Egg and main courses on the summer menu include Summer Navarin of Cotswold Lamb with Truffle Mash, Soft Greens and Pistou and Crisp Fried Fillets of Cornish Mackeral with Smoked Chorizo and a Potato & Red Onion Tartlet - A fantastic end to a glorious day.

The Killingworth Castle’s dining space, loving decorated by landlady, Claire Alexander, is now open for bookings. The beer garden is now open to the general public, offering space for 40 diners, lush grass, plenty of room for kids to play and the fresh air of The Cotswolds
